Yacht Charter Orhaniye

Orhaniye is where you can see people who appear to be walking on the water, not a miracle but a spit of sand running out into the bay! Cafes and restaurants provide the perfect setting for a lazy day on the beach.

Knidos Yacht Charter

At the extreme western tip of the Datça peninsula sits Knidos (Cnidos) a city founded on Mediterranean trade in the 5th Century BC. Now almost deserted there is a perfectly protected small harbour whose history leaves the visitor reflecting upon the thousands of people who dwelt here in antiquity, in modernity there are just a handful of residents. Ruins of temples, statues and an imposing amphitheatre are just a short walk away.

Dubrovnik Yacht Charter

Dubrovnik established in the 7th century on the rock island of Laus, originally known as Ragusa, has city walls dating back to the 13th century. Dubrovnik’s ancient city walls house the Unesco protected old town buildings which in turn house modern boutiques, street cafes, bars and restaurants. Strolling around the marble streets and squares is a truly magical experience not to be missed.

Consider A Luxury East Mediterranean Yachting Holiday For Your Honeymoon

Your honeymoon is perhaps the most special trip you will ever take. Traditionally occurring immediately after a wedding, it’s when you and your partner will have a wonderful chance to relax as a married couple for the first time, recuperating after the stress of organising their wedding day, and spending plenty of quality time together.

For many couples, their honeymoon is an opportunity to push the boat out (no pun intended) and opt for a luxurious holiday that they might not otherwise take. Yachting holidays offer the perfect escape for newlyweds – they guarantee true relaxation and luxury, as well as giving couples the chance to see various different cities and destinations, rather than being confined to one. Hiring a crewed yacht also gives a sense of privacy that is rarely available when staying in hotels or other resorts.

Sailing around the eastern Mediterranean on your own private yacht is an increasingly popular option for honeymooners. Here are just a few of the sights and cities you’ll be able to see on your trip:

Greek islands

The stunning Greek islands are an enduringly popular honeymoon destination – but why limit yourself to just one island? With a crewed yacht charter, you can explore a cluster of Greece’s most beautiful islands, from the Southern Cyclades (where you’ll find the picturesque isles of Santorini and Milos), to the Ionian islands (where you can enjoy the wonders of Corfu, Paxos and Zakynthos). Think sun-kissed beaches, warm Greek hospitality and spectacular sunsets from your yacht every night.

Turkey

You’ll find a multitude of perfect moorings in Turkey, and the wonderful climate means it’s a fantastic honeymoon destination at any time of the year. From party capital Marmaris, where you can join in the vibrant nightlife, to the beautiful cities of Antalya and Bodrum, you’re sure to find a relaxing haven in Turkey.

Montenegro

If culture and exploration is what you’re looking for on your honeymoon, Montenegro is the ideal choice. With stunning natural parks just inland, as well as two famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a plethora of engaging museums about Balkan history, this small country packs a punch in terms of cultural wonders. For those down days when you’re not hiking in the hills or exploring a museum, relax on one of the many pristine beaches, or enjoy the luxurious surroundings of Porto Montenegro, one of the world’s top marinas.

Croatia

The gems in Croatia’s crown are all situated along the coast, making it perfect for a yachting honeymoon. From the beautiful walled city of Dubrovnik to the hip and vibrant city of Split, you’ll find a scene to suit you. Not to mention the cluster of beautiful, isolated islands for those days when seclusion and privacy is at the top of the agenda.

What To Pack For Your Luxury Yacht Holiday

If you’ve never been on a luxury crewed yacht before, you’re in for a real treat. The sense of adventure combined with the wonderful privacy, as well as the chance to see some of the world’s most beautiful destinations, makes a luxury yacht holiday an unforgettable experience.

In order to ensure you take full advantage of having a luxury yacht at your disposal, you’ll need to make sure you pack the appropriate items. Of course, you’ll need stylish beachwear, some swimwear for those dips into the Mediterranean, and plenty of sun protection – but what else should you be packing in preparation for your yacht adventure? Check out this list of essential items which you’ll need to bring with you to enjoy your fabulous yachting experience to the fullest.

Deck shoes

First up, you’ll need to ensure you have the appropriate shoes for boarding your yacht. These should be closed, non-slip deck shoes or sports shoes – if you don’t own a pair of these, any rubber-soled shoes should be fine. This will ensure they don’t mark the deck of the yacht while you’re walking around, barefoot is also fine.

Soft luggage

Hard-shell luggage is great for flying because it ensures that your possessions will remain safe and secure. Unfortunately, they’re much harder to store on a yacht, where storage space is plentiful but of the wrong shape to store hard cases. Try to bring soft luggage if you can – large duffel bags or soft bags which have wheels are a great alternative. They’ll be easier to store in the lockers onboard.

Wind protection

It can get windy when you’re out on the open ocean. Despite the wonderful temperatures in the Med and around the Adriatic, you can still feel the chill of the breeze at times. Remember to pack some form of wind protection – it could be a light jacket, a few scarves, a cardigan or a pashmina. The last thing you want is to have to miss a spectacular sunset because it’s too windy or cold up on deck!

Sunglasses

You’ll need some high-quality sunglasses for your time on the yacht. There is always shade to be found on your yacht when you’re out on the open ocean, but you will want to take advantage of the sun and the water reflects the sunlight too. You don’t want to spend your entire trip squinting! Ensure the sunglasses have the appropriate UV protection, and you might want to attach them to a lanyard to prevent them from ending up in the sea.

Eco-friendly toiletries

While it’s not a prerequisite, many people heading off on a yacht charter like to play their part in protecting marine life. By purchasing natural, eco-friendly toiletries for the trip, you can help to ensure you’re not dumping parabens and other potentially harmful substances into the sea as you sail.

What not to bring…

Of course, there are also plenty of items you should leave at home, including:

  • Hairdryers – usually provided and of course the sea breeze will do the job for you!
  • Heeled shoes – a total no-no on a boat.
  • Too many outfit changes – you’ll spend much of your day in comfortable activewear or swimming gear, so there’s no need for complicated outfit planning.
